Prenatal lactation consult. Pregnant woman standing outdoors in a light green long sleeve shirt, gently holding her baby bump and smiling, and a caption that reads 'Prenatal Consult'.

$125

Prenatal consults help you to prepare for your baby's arrival.  This is a great choice if you are unable to attend a Breastfeeding group class, have special circumstances such as expecting multiples, or are a first time (breastfeeding) parent.  We will talk about relevant medical history, your breastfeeding goals, what to expect, how to prepare, and your birth plan.

Initial lactation consult. A newborn baby yawning while wrapped in a hospital blanket and wearing a knit cap.

$175

An initial consult is for a first time visit with you and your baby. It can be at any time from the newborn stage to weaning. Initial consults can involve any or all of the following: discussion of relevant medical history, your breastfeeding goals, your birth experience, a breast exam, infant oral exam, observation of breastfeeding, assistance with positioning and latch, and more.

Follow up lactation consult. A baby breastfeeding and a person’s hand gently touching the baby’s hand.

$125

All appointments after an initial consult are considered a follow up and can focus on continued support for improved breastfeeding for new concerns. Appointments may include discussion of recent health changes, breastfeeding goals, breast exam, infant oral exam, breastfeeding observation, assistance with position and latch, and more.
